Our Digital team, of c.30+ colleagues, is looking for a client-facing Paid Media Director to join the UK team (based in central London). As a core member of our Performance Marketing function, you will be responsible for leading the Paid Media team, managing the client portfolio with strategic direction and commercial ownership, and growing the specialism. This role offers the opportunity to work with brands spanning Healthcare, FMCG, Hospitality, Interiors and more, playing a pivotal role on one of our largest Digital accounts.

We are looking for someone who has experience leading paid media teams in a fast-paced, client-centric environment – ideally within a digital or performance agency / consultancy. Exceptional commercial acumen is essential, and experience in owning a P&L, improving profitability, and shaping high-performing paid media strategies is required. You will act as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor for key client stakeholders, overseeing the full suite of paid media channels including PPC, Paid Social and Programmatic, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable impact across all activity.

The role requires a highly motivated leader who uses their initiative to navigate complex client needs, provides decisive strategic problem-solving, and champions creative thinking; fostering a high-performance culture while promoting a calm, positive, and efficient working environment for the entire team.

Your Role

A Paid Media Director role, with a focus on delivering great work for our key clients and driving agency growth.

Clients:

  • Lead the development and execution of robust, high-quality paid media strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes for clients.
  • Act as senior point of contact and trusted advisor for key client stakeholders, building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Drive regular upsell and cross-sell opportunities by identifying areas where paid media and the broader Brand Potential offering can enhance client performance.

Culture:

  • Set and uphold high standards of performance, work ethic, and professional integrity across the paid media team.
  • Lead team progression, coaching direct reports and supporting career development across the department.
  • Strengthen the internal profile of paid media by leading knowledge sharing, team development, and proactive education.

Commerciality:

  • Drive profitability through strategic resource allocation, efficient delivery, and commercial awareness.
  • Drive agency growth by leading the paid media strategy for new business pitches, proposals, and audits, ensuring our expertise is a key differentiator in securing new client partnerships.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage the paid media tool suite to improve efficiency, quality, and commercial performance.

Collaboration:

  • Champion the “Power of Collective Thinking”—ensuring paid media deeply integrates with SEO, Social, UX, Analytics, Creative, and Technology.
  • Forge strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the development and rollout of paid media processes, frameworks, and best practices across the agency.

Communication:

  • Represent paid media confidently and credibly in internal and external forums, from leadership meetings to client presentations.
  • Communicate strategic direction, risks, and recommendations with clarity, transparency, and authority.
  • Act as escalation point for complex queries, platform issues, and strategic challenges within the team.

Creativity:

  • Provide industry-leading creative and strategic thinking across paid media channels, formats, tools, and opportunities.
  • Lead ideation for proposals, pitches, and cross-channel strategies—bringing fresh thinking to solve client challenges.
  • Research and evaluate new tools, systems, and methodologies to drive innovation, quality, and efficiency.
